The Impact of a Sewing Machine

We want to share a wonderful story which has connected a family from Chesapeake, VA to one in Montrouis, Haiti.

Last year Clay and Wendy Simmons donated a 98 year old Singer pedal sewing machine to Mowi Beads. The ministry of Supply and Multiply based out of Suffolk, VA was sending a vehicle down to Montrouis and was actually able to pack the sewing machine in the car.

We asked one of our Haitian leaders to chose a family he felt could most  benefit from this gift. Most people in Haiti do not have reliable electricity so a pedal sewing machine will provide work for a family in Montrouis.

The car and its contents cleared customs and now this sewing machine is being used to support another family.

We need your continued support to keep Mowi Beads going. We appreciate your donating and making purchases of Mowi Beads..

Love and Blessings in Christ,
Tom and Carolyn Hatten and the Mowi Beads team
